America’s Funniest Home Videos: Season 27 Ratings

Last season, Alfonso Ribeiro took over as the new host of America’s Funniest Home Videos. Unfortunately, the change didn’t bring in better ratings and the numbers continued to fall. Will this venerable ABC series be cancelled or will it be renewed for season 28? Stay tuned.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. Last year comparison: The 26th season of America’s Funniest Home Videos averaged a 1.03 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 5.25 million total viewers.
