Will there be another season of Animal Kingdom? Recently, star Shawn Hatosy suggested the TNT TV show will be renewed for a third season.
The drama revolves around a 17-year-old named “J” (Finn Cole) who moves in with his deceased mother’s family — a Southern California clan of criminals. The cast also includes Ellen Barkin, Scott Speedman,Ben Robson, Jake Weary, Daniella Alonso, and Molly Gordon.
On Twitter, Hatosy was asked about season three and said “it’s happening.” TNT has not yet confirmed the renewal, which would be a little surprising given the show’s declining ratings. So far, season two is averaging a .37 rating in the 18-49 demo and 1.134 million viewers, making it one of the network’s lowest-rated series for the 2016-2017 season.
However, Animal Kingdom does seem to have a passionate fan following. Either way, we’ll post updates as they become available.
