HBO is cutting Animals loose. Deadline reports the network has cancelled the TV show after three seasons.
The animated comedy features the critters that live in (and off of) the Big Apple. The voice cast includes Awkwafina, Bob Balaban, Tom Bergeron, Kate Berlant, Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy, Neil Casey, Marcia Clark, Dinosaur, Jr., Steve Dildarian, Edie Falco, and Jon Gabrus.
Despite an impressive cast, Animals never boasted high ratings. The HBO series’ third season earned an average rating of .05 in the 18-49 demo and only 185,000 viewers.
