Last year, FX Networks moved the animated Archer TV show to FXX and lost a sizable chunk of the audience (at least in linear viewings). Don’t spend much time worrying whether it will be cancelled or renewed for a tenth season, though. FX issued a season 10 renewal back in June of 2016. Since creator Adam Reed says that will the final installment, fans should have a couple of carefree seasons left with the dysfunctional spies. We’re still keeping an eye on the ratings to have a benchmark for other FXX TV shows (and because even renewals can be cancelled), so stay tuned.
An adult animated comedy, Archer began with the spies of the International Secret Intelligence Service (ISIS). The FXX voice cast includes: H. Jon Benjamin, Aisha Tyler, Jessica Walter, Chris Parnell, Judy Greer, Amber Nash, Lucky Yates, and Adam Reed. The ninth season, “Danger Island,” kicks off in 1939, on the Pacific island of Mitimotu. Although World War II is looming, seaplane pilot Sterling Archer’s (Benjamin) main concern is who will buy his next drink. Together with his co-pilot, Pam (Nash), Sterling must deal with quicksand, cannibals, unusually smart monkeys, poison darts, and even pirates.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

For comparisons: The eighth season of Archer on FXX averaged a 0.26 rating in the demo with 465,000 viewers.
What do you think? Do you still like the Archer TV series? Should FXX cancel or renew Archer for additional seasons, or does season 10 feel like the right time to end it?
