Arrow has a new big bad set to arrive in the season five premiere. The CW series will have a new man try to move in and fill in the hole left by the exit of Damien Darhk.
TV Line reported that the new villain is paying homage to a bad guy from the Wire – Stringer Bell, who was played by Idris Elba.
The site shared more about the new villain:
“The character, tentatively named ‘Anton Church,’ is a ruthless crime lord who sets out to fill the sizable void left by 960Damien Darhk and H.I.V.E. The initial casting notice describes him as an ‘apex predator’ who ‘cuts his way through the shadows’ by taking down ‘the biggest threat first.’”
There is one big difference between the new villain and Darhk – the new villain will not have any superhero powers.
