Arrow will air its season four finale on Wednesday night on CW, and one of the stars of the cast has revealed in a new interview that fans will see a very different series next season. The season finale will set up a big change for the series.

Charlotte Ross stars on Arrow as the mother of Felicity Smoak, and she has played a larger role on the series this season. Felicity’s mom has been around a lot in recent episodes.

Ross said the following, according to TV Line:

“It’s very open-ended for many characters — to such a degree that you will have no idea how Season 5 will resume, and which characters may be returning or which characters will be gone for good.”

Ross also calls the season four finale “intense, painful, shocking and scary.” Fans will have to watch how things end on Arrow on Wednesday night.
