Arrow will return to CW in October with its fifth season, and the network is giving fans a quick glimpse at what is ahead on the series. A new preview for the series has been released, and it shows Oliver Queen back in action as Green Arrow as he tries to balance being the mayor of Star City.
Oliver, who is played by Stephen Amell, will have some help running the city. Entertainment Weekly shared the following comments from Marc Guggenheim about Thea Queen’s role during season five:
“What we’ve done is we made her Oliver’s chief of staff. Perhaps, to her own surprise, she’s actually really, really good at it. All the skills that she learned by watching her mother for all those years, as well as running Verdant, she’s found very transferrable to City Hall, and in many ways, she’s a much better chief of staff than Oliver is a mayor.”
Fans will also learn something very important during the season five premiere. Fans will learn about Oliver’s promise to Laurel in the final moments of her life, according to TV Line.
