Atlantis debuted on November 23rd and drew 838,000 viewers, the cable network’s highest-rated series premiere for their Supernatural Saturday block. The high numbers very likely came at least in part because of the show’s big lead-in, the Doctor Who anniversary episode. There are 13 episodes in the current season.
“Atlantis is off to a fantastic start and is the centerpiece of our Saturday nights for the next 12 weeks,” notes BBC America’s senior vp programming Richard De Croce. “We’re committed to bringing our viewers even more entertaining episodes inspired by Greek mythology from Howard and the talented team in season two.”
