ABC is still looking for love. Today, the network announced they’ve renewed The Bachelor TV show for a 23rd season.
The long-running reality competition show, hosted by Chris Harrison, just finished its 22nd season, which followed 36-year-old race car driver Arie Luyendyk Jr. as he met, courted, and weeded out 29 potential “soul mates” in his quest for “true love,” before proposing, then rescinding his proposal, and choosing a different “true love,” in the bitter end.
A Look at the Ratings:
The Bachelor has been a hit for ABC since it premiered in 2002, so it’s no surprise the show’s been renewed. Season 22, which just wrapped, averaged a 1.71 rating in the 18-49 demo and 6.331 million viewers, making it ABC’s highest-rated unscripted series for the 2017-2018 season.
