Beauty and the Beast fans received sad news on Tuesday. The CW cancelled this series, and it will end after season four. Variety reported Tuesday morning that the network decided to pull the plug on the drama, which stars Kristin Kreuk and Jay Ryan.
This series has a very loyal and strong following on social media. Some might say it is this loyal following of “beasties” that kept the show on the air after season two.
The CW moved Beauty and the Beast to summer, and the network then surprised fans by renewing it for a fourth season in February. Season three premiered in June.
No premiere date for the fourth season has been set, but it will likely air at mid-season or next summer.
