The 90-minute pilot of Being Mary Jane ran on July 2nd and attracted a very positive 4.01 million viewers with a 2.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
Season one is slated to begin airing in early 2014 but BET apparently has so much faith in the series that they’ve gone ahead and ordered a second season.
