Better Call Saul: Season Two to Feature Another Breaking Bad Character

Better Call Saul TV show on AMC

What’s next for Jimmy McGill? Recently, Better Call Saul creator Vince Gilligan revealed to TVInsider that more Breaking Bad easter eggs will appear in season two of the AMC drama.

The second season premieres on February 15th.

Early in season one of Better Call Saul, two characters from Breaking Bad re-appeared to the delight of fans. Both Tuco Salamanca (Raymond Cruz) and Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks) returned, alongside the series’ protagonist, Jimmy McGill (a.k.a. Saul Goodman a.k.a. Bob Odenkirk). Now, Gilligan has divulged there will be another Breaking Bad connection in the upcoming series:

We revisit a character we met early in Season 1 of Breaking Bad and haven’t seen since. It’s going to be a fun tip of the hat.”

Additionally, Gilligan said the change from Jimmy to Saul won’t occur immediately. At the close of the last season, Jimmy swore off trying to be good. But Gilligan assures viewers that he still has a ways to go before he’s the crooked lawyer we met in Breaking Bad:

However, people who are expecting full-blown Saul Goodman probably need to take a breath, hold it, let it out and relax a little bit. Jimmy McGill is a character whom we find ourselves rooting for, so we don’t want to say goodbye to him too quickly.”

Here’s a teaser for the new season:

What do you think? Are you a fan of Better Call Saul? What would you like to see happen on season two? Which Breaking Bad character do you think will appear?
