Is Jesse Pinkman coming back? Recently, Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan told Digital Spy Aaron Paul may appear on Better Call Saul.
A prequel to Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul stars Bob Odenkirk as Jimmy McGill, a down-on-his-luck lawyer trying to negotiate the ethical dilemmas of the legal world, emerge from his older brother’s shadow, and make a name for himself. The cast also includes Jonathan Banks, Michael McKean, Patrick Fabian, Rhea Seehorn, Michael Mando, and Giancarlo Esposito.
In the interview, Gillian said he’s open to Aaron Paul reprising his Breaking Bad character on Better Call Saul:
You never know if that character may get revisited in the future. Anything’s possible.”
Gilligan also said he hopes Jesse Pinkman got away after the end of Breaking Bad:
I personally would like to think he got away, because he paid his dues tenfold. I like to believe he got away.
I don’t really know in terms of what he should be doing as a career. I just hope he would get away, and meet somebody nice, and not be a criminal anymore and not face those horrors that he faced. I always liked that character. I always had a soft spot for him.”
AMC has not yet announced a premiere date for season four of Better Call Saul, but it is slated to premiere later this year.
