The Big Bang Theory: Is the CBS Sitcom Ending? It’s “One Episode at a Time”

When will The Big Bang Theory end? Recently executive producers Chuck Lorre and Steve Molaro spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about the future of the hit CBS TV show.

The long-running comedy is headed into its 11th season this fall and has already been renewed for a 12th. The cast includes Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Mayim Bialik, Simon Helberg, Melissa Rauch, and Kunal Nayyar

Speaking to THR, Lorre said he’s surprised The Big Bang Theory has made it to 11 seasons:

We never really figured to be at year 11, let alone what’s going to happen after 12. One could easily presume that would be the end of the series, but I’m just amazed we’re here.”

Executive producer Steve Molaro added that he’s not sure when the CBS show will end:

We look at one episode at a time, that’s what we’ve been doing for the last 10 years and it’s gotten us this far.”

However, CBS Entertainment chief Kelly Kahl seemed interested in keeping the show on for as along as possible:

As long as we can go; 20 years. I hope to have it as long as we can.”

Season 11 of The Big Bang Theory debuts on CBS on September 25th at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

What do you think? Do you watch The Big Bang Theory? How many more seasons do you think the show should last?
