Fans don’t have to worry whether The Big Bang Theory TV show will be cancelled too soon. Back in March of 2017, CBS renewed it through season 12. The Chuck Lorre – Bill Prady sitcom remains one of the highest-rated network TV shows on network television, even though its numbers have dropped over the years. Still, even the most successful TV shows have a shelf-life. As its price tag increases and the audience drifts away, will The Big Bang Theory be cancelled or renewed beyond seasons 11 and 12? A CBS scripted comedy, The Big Bang Theory stars Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Mayim Bialik, Simon Helberg, Melissa Rauch, Kunal Nayyar, and Kaley Cuoco. The revolves around a group of brilliant scientists who are still somewhat socially inept, despite their progress over the years.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival.
