The Big Bang Theory has a new leader. Deadline reports Steve Holland has been named as the new showrunner of the CBS TV show.
The long-running comedy is headed into its 11th season this fall. The cast includes Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Mayim Bialik, Simon Helberg, Melissa Rauch, and Kunal Nayyar.
Holland, who previously served as an executive producer on The Big Bang Theory, has been promoted because former showrunner Steven Molaro will now be running the CBS sitcom’s upcoming spin-off, Young Sheldon.
Molaro and co-creator Chuck Lorre will still oversee The Big Bang Theory, but Holland will serve as a day-to-day showrunner. The new season of The Big Bang Theory debuts on CBS on September 25th at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The premiere of Young Sheldon follows at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT.
