Could The Big Bang Theory be over soon? According to star Kunal Nayyar, season 10 could be the end for the CBS sitcom, CinemaBlend reports.
The show’s ninth season ended in May, and the network has already renewed it for a 10th season.
While CBS has no plans to cancel The Big Bang Theory anytime soon, Nayyar says the 10th season is the last season the cast is contracted for:
Look – next season, as it stands on our contract, could be the last season of Big Bang Theory. To be completely honest…I know people are gonna want to know what happens after season 10. I don’t know what’s going to happen.”
Earlier, both Jim Parsons and Kaley Cuoco said they’ll remain on the series if it goes past season 10:
If the opportunity to go past Season 10 came up, I’d be very hard-pressed to tell you who [among the cast] might say no — if anybody would. I wouldn’t. The writers are still so devoted and on top of it. The stories that come out are still so much fun to play — there’s no drudgery aspect to this. I’m trying to imagine when an actor in a good situation would go, ‘I’m out of here!’ I don’t think it would be between Seasons 10 and 11 — not if things are going well.”
What do you think? Do you watch The Big Bang Theory? Should it end after season 10?
