Taylor Mason is sticking around. Deadline reports Asia Kate Dillon has been promoted to series regular for season three of the Showtime TV series Billions.
Dillon plays “financial whiz” Taylor Mason on the drama, which also stars Paul Giamatti, Damian Lewis, Maggie Siff, Malin Akerman, Toby Leonard Moore, David Costabile, and Condola Rashad. Showtime renewed Billions for a third season in March.
Dillon plays the first gender non-binary character to appear on a TV drama. The star is seeking a Best Supporting Actor nomination for the upcoming Emmys, writing to the TV Academy:
I’d like to know if in your eyes ‘actor’ and ‘actress’ denote anatomy or identity and why it is necessary to denote either in the first place?”
