Despite falling ratings that could have seen it cancelled on a broadcast network, Showtime renewed its Billions TV show for a third season. Since the premium cabler isn’t ad supported, it can take those chances, but it still needs to run programming its paid subscribers want to watch. Can it woo back its audience this year, or will the slide continue? Will Billions be cancelled or renewed for season four? Stay tuned.
A finance and legal drama, the Billions TV series stars Paul Giamatti as Chuck Rhoades, Damian Lewis as Bobby Axelrod, and Maggie Siff as Wendy Rhoades. The Showtime cast also includes Malin Akerman, Toby Leonard Moore, David Costabile, Condola Rashad, Asia Kate Dillon, and Jeffrey DeMunn, with Clancy Brown guest starring as Waylon “Jock” Jeffcoat, the new Attorney General.
In Billions, season three, Chuck and Bobby Axe are still out for each other’s blood, but now they’re also fighting for their own survival against new threats. Meanwhile, Wendy is “all in” for both her husband and her client, and this uncomfortable conflict could force her to make choices that will change everything. As always, money, power, justice, and revenge are on the menu.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
