The Blacklist will have a new villain from Red’s past appear on an episode later this season. TV Line reported that Ulrich Thomsen will play that new villain. He is joining the series “as Alexander Kirk, a multi-national businessman who runs a global energy empire.”
Thomsen has most recently been seen on Cinemax series Banshee. That series is ending its run after four season.
TV Line revealed that “Kirk plans to use his power and resources to strike back against longtime nemesis Red — and their tense history connects Kirk to an intimate, shocking secret from Red’s past.”
Thomsen will first appear on Episode 21 this season. The Blacklist has big plans for its remaining episodes this season. A backdoor pilot for a spin-off is being aired on the episode set for May 12.
