The Blacklist could be receiving a spin-off. The popular NBC series has not been on much in recent weeks, but it has already been renewed for a fourth season on the network.
The spin-off will receive a backdoor pilot during a May episode, and the spin-off will feature Famke Janssen. She will make her first appearance on the series on May 5.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, she will play Susan “Scottie” Halsted. There are no official details about her character, but there is speculation that she could play the mother of Ryan Eggold’s character. She has recently appeared on How to Get Away with Murder on ABC.
NBC is no stranger to spin-offs in recent years. The network has the fourth Chicago spin-off from Dick Wolf, titled Chicago Justice, currently in development.
