Blindspotting will not be returning for a third season. It’s been revealed that Starz has cancelled the drama series after two seasons and 16 episodes, per Variety. Rafael Casal and Daveed Diggs co-created and wrote the series, a continuation of the Blindspotting films.

Starring Jasmine Cephas Jones, Helen Hunt, Benjamin Earl Turner, Atticus Woodward, Jaylen Barron, and Candace Nicholas-Lippman, the Starz series is a sequel to the 2018 follow-up movie.

The story picks up six months later and revolves around Ashley (Jones) after Miles (Rafael Casal), her boyfriend of 12 years and the father of their son, is suddenly incarcerated. With her life in turmoil, Ashley and their son, Sean (Woodward), are forced to move in with Miles’ mother and half-sister.

The show debuted in June 2021, and season two of the series launched in April of this year. The de facto series finale of Blindspotting aired in May.
