Bomb Girls: Season Two Renewal from Reelz

Bomb Girls season twoReelzChannel has announced that they have renewed Bomb Girls, their World War II era TV series, for a second season. The new episodes will debut in the first quarter of 2013 and Rosie O’Donnell will be a guest star.

They’ve ordered 12 episodes this time around, doubling the number of installments that were in season one. The first seaosn finale aired on October 16th.

Bomb Girls, starring Oscar(R)-nominee and Golden Globe(R)-winner Meg Tilly (The Big Chill, Agnes of God), takes place during World War II and captures a period when society was experiencing fundamental changes in the workplace and at home. At the heart of Bomb Girls are the stories of women who risk their lives in a munitions factory in support of the European front. Liberated from social and cultural restrictions, they embrace their newfound freedom, changing their lives-and the world around them-forever. Season two of Bomb Girls begins just after the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Viewers can gear up for the second season of Bomb Girls when REELZ airs all six episodes of the first season back to back on Sunday, December 30, 2012 starting at 8pm ET/ 5pm PT.
