“BONES” IS BACK! WATCH/SHARE THE ALL-NEW TEASER FOR THE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED “BONES” RETURN!!

BONES Returns Thursday, April 14 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Picking up after the explosive fall finale, Hodgins (TJ Thyne) is eight weeks into his rehabilitation for paralysis and forced to navigate life in a wheelchair, while having difficulty readjusting to his new life at home and the lab. Meanwhile, Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) investigate the death of a public defender who had multiple defendants from previous cases with motives to kill her in the all-new “The Death in the Defense” episode of BONES airing Thursday, April 14 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Back in February, when FOX picked up season 12 of Bones it only ordered 12 episodes. Boreanaz and Deschanel will return, as will executive producers and showrunners Jonathan Collier and Michael Peterson.

The return of Boreanaz had been in doubt. At the dawn of season 11, the former Angel and Buffy the Vampire Slayer star sounded like season 11 would be the end of Bones, at least for him.

Later, Boreanaz and Deschanel sued FOX, along with executive producer Kathleen Reichs (the forensic anthropologist who wrote the Temperance Brennan novels which inspired the Bones TV show). That news broke soon after executive producer Barry Josephson filed suit against the FOX network and the 20th Century Fox Television studio’s parent company, over alleged profit shenanigans and cancellation threats.

In November, when FOX announced its early 2016 schedule, the second half of Bones, season 11, was a glaring omission. In January, during the TCA winter press tour, FOX boss Dana Walden categorized a renewal as uncertain.

Fans of the long-running drama were understandably disappointed. Between one of the two leads making it sound like he was ready to leave, the lawsuits, and the scheduling omission, it was easy to think Bones could be cancelled in the middle of its 11th season. Happily, that was not the case.

What do you think? Are you glad the Bones TV show is returning to FOX? Will you tune in for the season 11B spring premiere? Do you plan to watch the 12th season of Bones?
