Braxton Family Values, SWV Reunited: WE tv Series Renewed

braxton family values season fourWE has renewed their popular unscripted series, Braxton Family Values. The show will return for a fourth season of 26 episodes. Meanwhile, SWV Reunited has been picked up for a second season of 10 installments.

NEW YORK, NY – March 20, 2014 – WE tv today announced renewals for two of the network’s most popular unscripted originals – Braxton Family Values and SWV Reunited. The popularity of these dynamic shows has helped make WE tv a top cable network on Thursday nights. Braxton Family Values has been renewed for a fourth season encompassing 26 new episodes and WE tv’s newest hit show, SWV Reunited, has been picked up for an expanded sophomore season of 10 episodes.

“WE tv has become a true destination for quality unscripted originals on Thursday nights,” said Lauren Gellert, senior vice president, original production & development. “These shows have played a significant role in expanding our audience, reaching new viewers, attracting advertisers and building momentum for the network, and we’re excited to give our viewers exactly what they want by bringing them back for fresh new seasons.”

The continuous growth and social buzz around Braxton Family Values has made it a signature show for WE tv. The series spotlights the turbulent yet relatable relationships, careers and personal lives of sisters Toni, Tamar, Towanda, Trina and Traci Braxton and matriarch Miss E. The most recent third season delivered an average of 1.4 million viewers.

WE tv’s latest hit show, SWV Reunited, averaged 1.2 million viewers over its initial six-episode run. The show follows the dynamic relationship of Coko, Taj and Lelee of the 90s R&B group “SWV – Sisters With Voices” as they attempt to heal old wounds and regain their standing on top of the music charts.

Braxton Family Values is produced for WE tv by Magical Elves Productions (Top Chef, Project Runway) and executive produced by Dan Cutforth, Jane Lipsitz, Julio Kollerbohm and Michelle Kongkasuwan. Lauren Gellert and Annabelle McDonald serve as the executive producers for WE tv.

SWV Reunited is produced for WE tv by Entertainment One Television (eOne), executive produced by Tara Long, John Morayniss and Howie Miller. Lauren Gellert and Kate Farrell serve as the executive producers for WE tv.
