What’s This TV Show About?
A British crime drama on the BBC America cable channel, Broadchurch stars Olivia Colman and David Tennant. The cast also includes Jodie Whittaker, Andrew Buchan, Arthur Darvill, Carolyn Pickles, Adam Wilson, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Georgina Campbell, Charlotte Beaumont, Emily Allison, Roy Hudd, Benji Yapp, Matthew Gravelle, Mariah Gale, and William Andrews. The series takes place in the small seaside town of Broadchurch and centers on Detective Inspector Alex Hardy (Tennant) and Detective Sergeant Ellie Miller. In season three, Hardy and Miller investigate a serious sexual assault which rocks this tight-knit Dorset community.
Season Three Ratings

On April 12, 2016, it was announced that Broadchurch would be ending,
so there will be no fourth season. The last episode aired August 16, 2017. Could it be revived someday? Stay tuned for further updates.
Telly’s Take
There is no need to worry that the Broadchurch TV show will be cancelled (nor that I’ll starve), because creator Chris Chibnall has said this series is ending with season three. He said it in an April 2016 press release announcing new cast members. He also reiterated it, a year later, in a BBC Radio 4 interview. While I am sorry for fans, I am quite pleased this appears to be a creative decision and the team had the opportunity to write a proper series finale. I must fly. I have dinner reservations elsewhere.
