Brockmire: Season Two Ratings

Brockmire TV show on IFC: season 2 ratings (canceled renewed season 3?)

Don’t harsh your mellow pondering whether the Brockmire TV show is cancelled or renewed for season three on IFC. Nearly a month before the second season debuted, IFC renewed Brockmire through season three and season four. IFC seems more like AMC Networks’ creativity lab anyhow, so it’s not clear how much the Nielsen ratings matter in their cancellation and renewal decisions. Still, we’re keeping an eye on its performance as a benchmark of sorts. Since even renewals can be cancelled, stay tuned.

An IFC scripted comedy series, Brockmire stars Hank Azaria as baseball announcer Jim Brockmire, Amanda Peet as minor league club owner Julia James, and Tyrel Jackson Williams as tech marvel, Charles. Katie Finneran and Hemky Madera return as guest stars in season two. Joining them are Becky Ann Baker, Carrie Preston, Dreama Walker, and Utkarsh Ambudkar. The second season kicks off a year after the events of the season one finale. Although Jim’s Brock Bottom podcast is now a hit, he’s rooming with Charles, and drinking more than ever. He still longs to overcome his “Brutal Brockmire” image and reclaim his sportscasting career, not to mention Jules.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

For comparisons: The first season of Brockmire on IFC averaged a 0.09 rating in the 18-49 year-old viewer demographic and 247,000 total viewers.
