Earlier, we reported that Castle stars Stana Katic and Tamala Jones would be leaving the ABC drama. Now, series star Nathan Fillion and other cast members have responded to the news.
Castle is currently nearing the end of its eighth, and possibly last, season.
On Twitter, Fillion said Katic will be missed:

Katic, who played Detective Kate Beckett, the co-lead of the series, tweeted a simple thank you to fans today:

Molly Quinn, who plays Castle’s daughter, said the show will be different if it continues, but promised Fillion will be back if the show is renewed for a ninth season:

Meanwhile, cast member Jon Huertas says he and Seamus Dever were not asked to return to the ABC drama:

ABC has still not announced whether or not Castle will return, but executive producer Alexi Hawley says there are two endings planned for the season eight finale—one if they are renewed and one to use in case the show is cancelled.
