Although it just premiered in the wee hours of this morning, Netflix has renewed its animated Castlevania TV show for a second season. Warren Ellis writes the series, which is based on the video game of the same name. He also executive produces with Kevin Kolde, Fred Seibert and Adi Shankar. While the first season consists of four, 30-minute installments, according to Deadline, the season two order is for eight episodes.
A medieval horror fantasy, Castlevania centers on Trevor Belmont (Richard Armitage), the last surviving member of a disgraced clan. He is out to save Eastern Europe from Dracula (Graham McTavish). The Netflix voice cast also includes James Callis, Alejandra Reynoso, Emily Swallow, Matt Frewer, and Tony Amendola.
