Craig Ferguson’s Celebrity Name Game TV show has been renewed for a third season. The syndicated game show’s season three renewal was announced by FremantleMedia North America and Debmar-Mercury. The show is hosted by Ferguson and executive produced by Courteney Cox and David Arquette.
Celebrity Name Game matches celebrities join contestants to identify correct answers before their time expires. Answers include celebrity names; locations; book, TV show and film titles; and more. Past guests include Cox and Arquette, Candace Cameron Bure, Shannen Doherty, and Lisa Kudrow

FremantleMedia North America (FMNA) and Debmar-Mercury today announced the nationally syndicated Celebrity Name Game has been renewed for a third season in national syndication following pickups by Tribune Broadcasting and the Sinclair Broadcast Group.
Celebrity Name Game enters NATPE with already more than 70% of the U.S. cleared for the 2016-17 season. Its renewal by the two key station groups follows a strong November 2015 sweeps for the program, hosted by Daytime Emmy®-winning game show host Craig Ferguson and executive produced by Courteney Cox and David Arquette. In households and the key 25-54 demos, it averaged 40% gains in the 88 markets where it remained in the same time periods in November versus year-ago time periods.

Fast-paced and funny, Celebrity Name Game pairs celebrities with contestants as they improvise clues to identify as many correct answers as possible in a given time period. The answers aren’t just celebrity names but range from actors, singers, athletes and pop culture figures to places, brands, books, TV shows, movies, foods and even cartoon characters. Consisting of two competitive speed rounds followed by a third round where Craig Ferguson provides the clues, teams must then face a broad mix of clues and categories ranging from a single letter to a real life tweet from a celebrity as they enter into the final $20,000 round.

Celebrity Name Game is co-produced by FremantleMedia North America and Debmar-Mercury and is distributed domestically by Debmar-Mercury and internationally by FremantleMedia. The show was developed by Coquette Productions based on the popular board game Identity Crisis, created by Laura Robinson and Richard Gerrits of North 44 Productions. In addition to Coquette’s Cox and Arquette, executive producers include FMNA’s Jennifer Mullin, and veteran show runner Scott St. John. The syndicated, half-hour weekday strip airs in more than 93% of the country, including the top-50 U.S. markets.
