Episode 01-02: Thursday, 9/29/11
The premiere had poor numbers and week two did even worse with a 1.5 in the demo and 7.11 million. That’s a week-to-week loss of 29% in the demo. The show was fourth in the timeslot and barely beat CW’s Vampire Diaries. It would not be a surprise if ABC pulled this disaster soon. What is it about the network’s luck with this timeslot?
Season average: 1.8 demo with 7.94 million.

Episode 01-01: Thursday, 9/22/11
This remake certainly isn’t a hit right out of the gate. It attracted only a 2.1 in the 18-49 demographic and 8.76 million viewers. The premiere was in third place for the timeslot and the network’s worst-performing scripted series of the week.

On the positive side, based on the 15-minute breakdown of the ratings, most viewers who tuned in to see the premiere stuck with it for the entire hour. That’s a positive sign for the second episode because the new Charlie’s Angels can’t afford to lose any viewers.

Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

What do you think? Do you like the new Charlie’s Angels TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
