Soap operas once filled all of the networks’ daytime schedules, but most of them were cancelled years ago. Until 2025, just three remained: The Bold and the Beautiful (CBS), General Hospital (ABC), and The Young and the Restless (CBS). In early 2025, CBS introduced the first new daytime network soap in 25 years, Beyond the Gates. Are these series here to stay, or are they still living on the edge? Stay tuned.
