TV show description:      
This sitcom is centered around the blended family of a divorced man who has custody of his three kids who marries a divorced woman who has her own two kids. Much of the storyline centers around everyone readjusting to their new family dynamic.

Divorced from a successful corporate lawyer for five years and raising two daughters, Nora McDonald (Joy Tanner) is a partner in a window coverings firm. She’s a bit of a clean freak, and when she leaves the house, she worries the kids will mess it up. George Venturi (John Ralston) has been raising his three kids on his own. He’s a legal aid lawyer and can also be a bit of a prankster. The two divorcees meet, marry, and, with their kids, become a blended family of seven.

Casey (Ashley Leggat) is the eldest of Nora’s daughters. This self-righteous girl felt that she had the perfect life, until her mom married George. She was forced to move, change schools, and live with her stepbrothers and stepsister. This preppy girl likes to dance, sing, and act, and can also be a somewhat of a perfectionist. Her younger sister, Lizzie (Jordan Todosey), is a tomboy, playing soccer and taking tae kwon do classes. She leads a somewhat green life, as a sometimes vegetarian with a concern for the rain forest and a love of animals.

The oldest of George’s kids is Derek (Michael Seater). He’s a rebel who’s used to getting what he wants from everyone in his life. He’s into sports and girls, though doesn’t seem to stay with any girlfriend for more than a few days. After his father remarries, his favorite activity becomes picking on Casey, his new stepsister.

George’s middle child is Edwin (Daniel Magder), a 13-year-old video game enthusiast. He idolizes Derek, doing everything he asks, and is easily bullied by his brother and other kids at school. The baby of the family, Marti (Ariel Waller), feels left out of many things concerning the family. She looks up to Derek, as well as her new stepsisters, Casey and Lizzie.
