TV show description:
This drama peers behind the glamorous facade of New York’s premium auction houses, exposing the seedy and greedy side of the business. The acquisition of coveted items involves not only wealthy collectors and dealers, but hustlers, smugglers, and even terrorists.
Using smuggling ring connections made during his Iraq tour of duty, street-smart former soldier Graham Connor (Christian Cooke) leaves behind his blue-collar Bensonhurst past, for his dream job at Parke-Mason. A rookie dealer, Connor’s involvement in a big sale turns him into the newest golden boy in this glittering world. The past soon returns to bite him, hard.
A magnetic and manipulative billionaire real estate mogul with political aspirations, Samuel Brukner (Dennis Quaid), is a cunning power broker. As intimidating as he is charming, the lively but merciless Brukner is not above corruption, particularly where his bottom line is concerned.
In the quest to sign Brukner as a client, Connor must distinguish himself from the competition. He does not bat an eye, upon learning the shadowy origins of some of Brukner’s collection. Failing to land Brukner would tarnish Connor’s newly minted shine.
Eccentric, astute, aristocratic Arthur Davenport (Cary Elwes), has a world-class collection of art and illicit antiquities. In order to sign Davenport, Connor threatens to out his less than legal ownership of some pieces. The two become unlikely allies, and Davenport mentors Connor, whose own father passed when he was young.
Roxanna Whitman (Kate Bosworth) is the daughter of the prestigious DeGraaf auction house CEO. A native of this elite environment, the still insecure Whitman is consumed with proving herself. Her dealings with Brukner extend beyond business. Her family, education, and insider status make Whitman everything Connor is not.
Series Finale:
Episode #20 — A Half Inch
In the wake of the FBI sting, Graham struggles to start over. Roxanna gets a surprise offer from DeGraaf’s, yet she can’t outrun her misdeeds. Brukner’s museum deal threatens to implode. Davenport and Graham form a new partnership, but Graham’s inability to bury the past ends in a violent face off.
First aired: November 16, 2016.
What do you think? Do you like The Art of More TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a third season?
Bit late to the table but just binged two seasons. HOW has this not been commissioned for more series?! It’s so entertaining. Fabulous cast and and not too unbelievable plot. PLEASE somebody pick this up.
I think there should have been another series, because we needed to see if everyone’s issues were completely resolved or not. I like a happy ending!
Nate Goodman & Steven Edell Season 3???
Where’s season 3? Come on!!!
It should absolutely be renewed for a third season and a 4th fourth. One of the best series and all channels. That in start up now that’s getting a new year Why not at” the Art of more”This show had absolutely no publicity , No was it nurtured with another good show before or after it. What a waste. Please bring it back!
Its been a good five years since I’ve found a series I was this sucked into. Cant get enough of it and cancelled after only two seasons! Really not surprised since my preferences are usually opposite of the critics. Full character development of EVERY member on the show -not just the main and supporting actors with many unpredictable twists and layers which has the audience empathizing with both sides of the story. There was often no obious “good guy” “bad guy” at first which made the show more realistic and less predictable. Spoiler alert: they also killed off some of… Read more »
Coincido 100% contigo, Tenemos un gusto realmente opuesto a los críticos… Esta serie realmente me cautivo y no es posible que la dejaran con solo dos temporadas.
There is potential in the story and it’s completely compelling. At least an actual ending would make the series re-watchable….don’t know why ‘marketing’ doesn’t get that.
More More!!!
It amazes me that when there is a quality series they cancel it and they continue to air shows that have NO content. What a shame. I think if this was aired a the main networks it would have taken off. I am an artist and I love finally there was a TV series that exposes the Dark side and World of Art Crime. A different show with an engaging subject and plots, a wonderful cast and outstanding writing is what we need on TV, NOT MORE OF THE SAME…
The Art of More should be Renewed!!!
I loved this show as well as Crackle’s Snatch. Crackle has had more original shows lately than Netflix, Amazon, Starz, Showtime, HBO and Cinemax put together! There should have been a third season, at least to come to a conclusion. Not left with the cliff hanger that they did!
I loved the show. Wish it would be renewed. The actors are great. The plot and the mix between art and crime and action it.s a very good and interesting ideea to present in a show. With great result. I love Roxanne and Graham
Renewed. The show is awesome! Acting is very good. Story is compelling. Characters are multi-faceted and interesting.
Bring it back, really enjoyed it
BRING THE SHOW BACK❗❗❗
It is a very good show. Wish they wouldn’t have canceled it.
The art of more should be renewed. It was one of my favorite shows.
I think it should be renewed. It’s one of my favorites. It’s different, and I love it.
