TV show description:
From creator Jack Thorne, the National Treasure TV show is a British crime anthology series. In UK, the first season (i.e. “series”) is entitled National Treasure, while the second is treated as a separate television program, entitled Kiri. Hulu has the US rights to the drama, and refers to season two as National Treasure: Kiri.
National Treasure, season one, is inspired by “Operation Yewtree,” a real-life British police investigation which resulted in the prosecution of celebrities for crimes including the sexual abuse of children. The scripted drama centers on Paul Finchley (Coltrane), a beloved comedian and television personality who is arrested for a rape dating back in the 1990s.
As the first, four-part installment unfolds, it traces the story through Finchley’s arrest, trial, and verdict. It also explores how the investigation affects him and his family, including his longtime wife, Marie (Walters), a devout Roman Catholic, and their troubled adult daughter, Denise (or “Dee”), who has a history of substance abuse.
The four episodes of season two, i.e. National Treasure: Kiri, unfold in Bristol, England. Instead of a celebrity, the story centers on a nine-year-old girl, Kiri (Mukasa) who is up for adoption. Once she goes missing, Kiri’s biological family, foster family, and social worker are all the focus of intense scrutiny.
National Treasure examines themes including suspicion, guilt, blame, doubt, and lies — even as it searches for the truth.

I was hoping for a third movie. Don’t get HULU . They left Book of Secrets open for a third film. I am sorry they elected not to do a third film.
This program definitely needs to be continued for at least another episode, maybe season. I just finished watching Season 1, Episode 4, when the young son is dropped off at his new school, knowing that the man in prison and charged with the crime is innocent. This simply can’t end like this. There must be justice shown.
