Chicago PD follows the men and women of the Chicago Police Department’s District 21 who pursue the perpetrators of major street crimes in the “Windy City.” The series features the talents of Jason Beghe, Sophia Bush, Patrick John Flueger, LaRoyce Hawkins, Elias Koteas, Jon Seda, Jesse Lee Soffer, Marina Squerciati, Amy Morton, and Brian Geraghty.
The third season kicked off at the end of September and was down by more than 10% when compared to the second season opener.
The ratings have been up and down since then and season three of Chicago PD is down 5-10% year-to-year. It’s currently NBC‘s fifth-highest rated scripted series in the 18-49 demographic.
The network has also renewed Chicago Fire, for a fifth season, and another spin-off called Chicago Med is set to debut next Tuesday night.
