Children’s Hospital: Adult Swim Series Ending; No Season Eight

Children's Hospital TV show

The hospital is closing down. Adult Swim’s comedy series, Children’s Hospital, will end after its current seventh season, Deadline reports.

The comedy has won two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Short-Format Live-Action Entertainment Program.

Created by Rob Corddry in 2008, Children’s Hospital stars Corddry, Lake Bell, Ken Marino, and several others as staff members of a children’s hospital. The 15-minute show is a parody of medical procedurals like General Hospital and ER.

Corddry explained his decision to end the series to Deadline:

My reasons for ending the show have most to do with a general lack of time and creative energy for anything else. Childrens Hospital is a year-round gig for me and I might care too much about it (i.e. I’m a control freak). I’m excited to channel this new surge of energy I’m feeling into making more stuff. So what have you got? I’ll do it. Action!”

What do you think? Are you a fan of Children’s Hospital? Who’s your favorite character? Are you sad to see it go?
