Claws: Season Two Ratings

Claws TV show on TNT: season 2 ratings (canceled renewed season 3?)

(Courtesy of TNT)

Last year, the Claws TV show debut was part of the TNT effort to rebrand itself as Turner’s home for edgier dramas. Although it did worse in the Nielsen ratings than cancelled TV series Major Crimes and The Librarians, Claws seems to fit better with the cable network’s new direction. How long will that hold true? Will Claws be cancelled or renewed for season three on TNT? Stay tuned. **Status update below.

A dark TNT crime dramedy, Claws stars Niecy Nash, Carrie Preston, Harold Perrineau, Jenn Lyon, Judy Reyes, Karrueche Tran, Jason Antoon, Kevin Rankin, Jack Kesy, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Suleka Mathew, and Dean Norris. The story centers on the diverse and dangerous staff of the Nail Artisan of Manatee County salon, which launders money for the Dixie Mafia. In season two, Desna (Nash) and her crew also have to deal with the Russian mob.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

For comparisons: The first season of Claws on TNT averaged a 0.47 rating in the 18-49 year old viewer demographic and 1.282 million viewers.
