More comedy is coming to Comedy Central. Deadline reports the network has ordered a new standup series called The Comedy Jam.
Based on the previously aired special and LA live show, the show will feature “stand-up comedians performing in front of a live audience where they share memorable moments from their lives that are linked with an iconic hit song.”
The Comedy Jam is slated to premiere in 2017.
From Comedy Central president Kent Alterman:
We have been working under the false impression that what comedians want most is to have television and digital platforms to further their comedy careers. It turns out they really just want to be rock stars.”
