Crazy Ex-Girlfriend: CW Series Creator Eyeing Four Seasons

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend has wrapped its first season on CW, and fans now have to wait for a second season to premiere this fall. Rachel Bloom, the star and co-creator of the series, has an idea in mind for the end of the series though. She knows she is nowhere near it yet.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Golden Globe winner revealed how many seasons she has in mind for the CW series. She said the following:

“I think the ideal number is around four. That could change. We’re a show about a very specific journey in a person’s life. And it’s not really a sitcom meant to spit out copies of itself. Very early on, we called it a 50-hour movie. I think we’re beyond that now. There’s always going to be plot movement, so there’s only so far I think you can go with that. It could be five, but I think around four would be ideal for us creatively.”

For now, Bloom needs to be content with a second season for this series. With low ratings throughout the season, some were shocked by the renewal of the show. However, the series has support of the critics and the awards earned for Rachel Bloom helped push it toward a second season.
