Crazy Ex-Girlfriend: Season Two Ratings

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend TV show on The CW: ratings (cancel or season 3?)Despite garnering some critical acclaim, the Crazy Ex-Girlfriend did very poorly in the ratings in its first season. The CW renewed it anyway and has moved the series to Friday nights, where viewership and expectations are lower. Will Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’s numbers get worse in season two? Will the execs be satisfied and renew the show for a third season or, is it sure to be cancelled? Stay tuned.

On the Crazy Ex-Girlfriend series, Rebecca Bunch (Rachel Bloom) was dumped by Josh (Vincent Rodriguez III) after a summer camp romance because he felt she was over dramatic and a little bit crazy. Some 10 years later, Rebecca’s a Yale and Harvard educated lawyer who’s been offered a partnership in a top New York firm. She and Josh run into each other and her feelings for him are rekindled. He’s moving back to California and she impulsively decides to do the same. Has anything really changed? The rest of the cast includes Santino Fontana, Donna Lynne Champlin, Pete Gardner, Vella Lovell, and Gabrielle Ruiz.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
