How well is The Crown doing? Deadline reports Nielsen has released viewing data for the Netflix series’ second season.
The new season will follow Queen Elizabeth II’s (Claire Foy) reign through the turbulent 1960s. The cast also includes Matt Smith, John Lithgow, Victoria Hamilton, Jared Harris, Vanessa Kirby, and Dame Eileen Atkins.
According to Nielsen, The Crown has averaged “nearly 1.3 million total viewers and nearly 600,000 in the 18-49 demo” since its sophomore season debuted on December 8th. Also of note, fans of the Netflix series seems to skew older and female. About 65% of viewers are female and about 66% of the people who watched season two within three days of its release were 35 or older.
