Even though CBS cancelled CSI: Cyber last week, the franchise may not be gone for good. According to Deadline, the network is interested in revisiting the franchise in the future.
The flagship series, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, ended last year after 15 seasons. CSI: Cyber was the final spin-off to be cancelled, after CSI:NY and CSI: Miami.
During this week’s upfront presentation, CBS Glenn Geller said CSI may return in the future:
We are incredibly proud of all CSI shows. It may come back in another incarnation.”
