Even though CBS cancelled CSI: Cyber last week, the franchise may not be gone for good. According to Deadline, the network is interested in revisiting the franchise in the future.
The flagship series, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, ended last year after 15 seasons. CSI: Cyber was the final spin-off to be cancelled, after CSI:NY and CSI: Miami.
During this week’s upfront presentation, CBS Glenn Geller said CSI may return in the future:
We are incredibly proud of all CSI shows. It may come back in another incarnation.”

I am a fan, and I watched more CSI Crime Scene Investigation and CSI Miami than the other CSI series. I think I looked forward to those two of the CSI franchise because I love mysteries and I am not an avid sit-com fan. I say bring them back although the CSI TV series were not realistic in some of their aspects, they were exciting and interesting. The combination of characters was cool as well. Can’t believe CBS even has to question bringing back a new CSI in a similar format to the original.
Doesn’t take a genius to know it would fly. Especially with today’s technology and new social issues.
Please bring original CSI back. Great show. Shows that have been on CBS this summer are not good.
