canceled + renewed TV shows - TV Series Finale

Living Biblically: CBS Cancels Cancelled Show’s Return

by Cindy McLennan, June 4, 2018

season 1 pulled from air; Living Biblically TV show on CBS: canceled, no season 2 (canceled or renewed?)

(Robert Voets / Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc / CBS)

There’ll be no return to the Promised Land for fans of the Living Biblically TV show. CBS cancelled the sitcom on April 19th and pulled it from the air. Early last month, the network scheduled Living Biblically to return and “burn off” the remainder of the season one episodes, beginning May 28th. Last week, they then pushed the return off until June 4th, and the Living Biblically season one/TV series finale was expected to air on June 25th. Now, the network has slated NCIS: New Orleans reruns in Biblically‘s place, until Salvation assumes the timeslot on June 25th.

A CBS sitcom, Living Biblically stars Jay R. Ferguson, Lindsey Kraft, Ian Gomez, David Krumholtz, Tony Rock, and Camryn Manheim. Based on the AJ Jacobs book, The Year of Living Biblically, the comedy centers on Chip Curry (Ferguson), a film critic for a New York City newspaper. After the death of his best friend, Chip decides to live a better life, through strict adherence to biblical precepts.

Living Biblically: A Look at the Ratings

The first season of Living Biblically avergaed a 0.70 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.21 million viewers. It was the lowest-rated of the new CBS TV shows during the regular 2017-18 television season.

Here’s the CBS scheduling alert announcing NCIS: New Orleans will take over the Living Biblically time slot.

Editor’s note: This replaces the previously scheduled programming.

Sad that Living Biblically is cancelled especially because it was one of a kind compared to the majority of network shows that are so much more of the same! NCIS: New Orleans is one of that type that I never watch!

You could not write it could you!

Those of us that have invested time in it should have access to the remaining episodes, so just put them on Youtube so that we can enjoy.
