CSI: CBS Series Ending with Two Hour Movie

CSI TV show on CBS: canceled, no season 16The series was once CBS’ top-rated show but those days are long gone and it’s now time for the original CSI: Crime Scene Investigation TV series to end. There won’t be a 16th season but there will be a conclusion.

Debuting in October 2000, CSI follows Las Vegas crime scene investigators as they try to solve bizarre cases. This season’s castmates are Ted Danson, Elisabeth Shue, George Eads, Jorja Fox, Eric Szmanda, Robert David Hall, Wallace Langham, David Berman, Elisabeth Hamois, and Jon Wellner.

While CBS is ending CSI as a series they are planning to wrap up the show with a two-hour movie. It will air on Sunday, September 27th, and feature several castmembers who have populated the series over its tenure — including original stars William Petersen and Marg Helgenberger.

Danson, who’s been with the series since the 12th season, will then relocate and become a regular castmember on CSI: Cyber — the latest spin-off series that stars Patricia Arquette and James Van Der Beek.

What do you think? Are you sorry that CSI is ending? Will you be watching the finale movie?
