Dads: FOX Orders Six More Scripts for Struggling Sitcom

Though Dads is tied with The Mindy Project as the network’s lowest-rated scripted series, FOX isn’t giving up on it just yet. The network has ordered six additional scripts — which may or may not end up becoming produced episodes.

Four episodes of Dads have aired so far. The premiere drew a 2.2 demo rating with 5.76 million total viewers. The sitcom fell more than 30% in week two and dropped another 13% in week three but seems to now be leveling off.

Dads revolves around a pair of software developers (Seth Green and Giovanni Ribisi) whose troublesome fathers (Martin Mull and Peter Riegert) come to live with them and wreak havoc on their lives. Vanessa Lachey, Tonita Castro, and Brenda Song round out the cast.
