Dark Winds: Season Two; Nicholas Logan and Jeri Ryan Join AMC Western Series

Dark Winds TV Show on AMC: canceled or renewed?

Dark Winds has added two names for the second season two of the AMC drama series. Nicholas Logan (Hap and Leonard) and Jeri Ryan (Star Trek: Picard) are joining the drama based on the Leaphorn & Chee book series by Tony Hillerman.

A Western crime thriller series, Dark Winds stars Zahn McClarnon, Kiowa Gordon, Noah Emmerich, Jessica Matten, Rainn Wilson, and Deanna Allison. The story is set in 1971 and follows two Navajo police officers — Joe Leaphorn (McClarnon) and Jim Chee (Gordon) — as they investigate crimes in a remote outpost of the Navajo nation.

Deadline revealed details about the roles the new arrivals will play in the AMC series:

Logan plays Colton Wolf, a twisted assassin with a secret that puts him on a collision course with Lt. Joe Leaphorn (McClarnon).

Ryan portrays Rosemary Vines, a femme fatale whose physical frailties hide her naked ambition as she plays Jim Chee (Gordon), leaving a trail of bodies in her wake.

A premiere date for the six episodes of Dark Winds season two will be announced later. The first season’s six episodes debuted last June.
