Good news, DOOL fans, Christie Clark and Austin Peck are headed back to NBC‘s Days of Our Lives. Soap Opera Digest reports Carrie Brady and Austin Reed will return to Salem, USA in early 2017. Clark told the magazine, “Days of Our Lives is the gift that keeps on giving for me. Thirty years of fun, drama and love in the afternoon!”
Clark last appeared on the show in 2012, with Patrick Muldoon, who originated the role of Austin Reed in 1992. Peck was recast in 1995, when Muldoon exited the soap. A recast, herself, Clark took over the role of Carrie from Fuller House‘s Andrea Barber, when the character was SORASed in 1986.
There are no details yet, on Carrie and Austin’s storyline. We can’t help but wonder if this signals Alison Sweeney could be ready to resume the role of Carrie’s sparring sister Sami Brady. Salem hasn’t been the same, without her.
