Downton Abbey: Season Five Coming to PBS

ITV in the UK has commissioned a fifth season of Downton Abbey, their very popular period drama. PBS has picked up the show here in the US. Season five will air overseas next fall and in the states starting in January 2015.

The renewal announcement followed the airing of the fourth season finale in the UK (though a Christmas episode is still to come). Season four will begin airing as part of Masterpiece on January 5th. There are eight episodes.
